Welcome to this boutique secret retreat in the historic Aro Valley. You'll be close to a native bush reserve with walking tracks and birdsong. And yet, a close 15 minute walk to the Aro Village for local favorite cafes, convenience stores & bar.

Then, its another 15 minute walk to the vibrant Cuba Street for more eateries, bars and shopping (or a 8 minute Uber ride into town).

Free street parking & infant friendly with cot & highchair. Plus no cleaning fees.

The space
A 'home away from home' within a great little neighborhood close to the Waimapihi nature reserve.

You'll have:
* a fully equipped kitchen with useful appliances (oven, microwave, fridge & freezer etc)

* 2 bedrooms & 3 beds, plus a single daybed in the living room. There's also a low height folding wooden cot & mattress : )

* a modern bathroom with shower over a bathtub. Plus a washing machine (& use of a dryer in the toolshed)

* high-speed wireless internet

* a heat pump split system heating/air conditioning unit in the living area

* an outdoor, covered lounge area with BBQ (okay to vape or smoke outside)

* free street carparking right outside

* a quiet and relaxing place with abundant birdlife

Other things to note
Parking - I recommend parking close to the side of the street. Space for two cars right outside. Additional parking up the street next to the neighbors fence.

It's a narrow street but I've had no trouble parking a large SUV (and folding in the wing mirrors) so others can easily pass.

Double Bed - the main room is also very small. If two are staying, one person will need to climb over the other person in order to exit the bed.

Security Camera - there's an external security camera facing the front gate, and facing away from your entertainment area on the deck. There are no other cameras.

Steps - this is a single level home, but there is one step onto the outside deck, and a step up to the bathroom, plus a step into the double bedroom.

Noise - You may hear the neighbors also enjoying their homes & gardens and we ask that you'll also be respectful.

Smoking is OK - it’s okay to vape or smoke outside on the covered deck.

BBQ grill - please clean the grill before you leave with the provided brush, handy towels and oil. Please do not use water on the black grill part. Please let me know if the gas bottle is empty as I can easily replace for you : )

Rubbish - the black bin for general rubbish. & the yellow/black wheelie bin for clean recycling paper/cardboard, tin & plastics (numbers 1, 2 & 5). No lids & only clean, washed items please. The green bin is glass only.

Dehumidifier - this works great in the cooler months helping to keep the cottage dry & warmer. You'll need to empty the water tank to keep it going : )

Aro Valley is a funky and vibrant community that's a sanctuary just a short walk from town. We're close to a wide range of restaurants and bars around Cuba Street. Most of the popular attractions are within walking distance.
The local no.25 bus stop is at the end of the street - a 7 minute walk away with a direct route to the main Wellington train/bus station.
